Auto-generated resources
I’m going to build up this page with a few bits of custom code to help create the kinds of resources that I need, but haven’t been able to find a suitable online source.
- Grid paper: Printable grids and dot-grids, including square and isometric. Customisable size.
- Shaded grid: Useful for demonstrating fractions.
- Matchstick equations: Create images for matchstick equation puzzles.
Other sites
- https://print-graph-paper.com/ – Lots of different graph paper resources that can be downloaded or printed.
Quick tips for creating resources
Here are some tips for creating images yourself…
Use screen-snipping!
- Graph paper: Use Desmos or GeoGebra to show a grid in the proportions you want and then screen-snip the part you need.
- Geometric shapes: Use GeoGebra to create geometric shapes, angles etc., and then screen-snip the part you need.
Inkscape
- Inkscape is free and easy to use. You can create very detailed shapes, diagrams etc., then save as PNG to insert in your worksheet.
Word
- You can create some useful resources using things like tables and drawing tools in Word. You can also make use of the Equation editor to get nicely formatted equations.
